The following grant awards were approved at the Town Council meeting on 20 June 2022
2nd Caerphilly Brownies
Awarded £250 to assist with a summer residential trip including minibus hire.
Aber Valley Wolves Rugby League Club
Awarded £400 to help with the hire of facilities for a new U12s team and a girl’s U 16s team.
Caerphilly Miners Centre for the Community
Awarded £400 to support a summer holiday activities scheme for children aged 8 to 12.
Gwent Police
Awarded £400 sponsorship towards a fun day in Morgan Jones Park on Saturday 20 August 2022 between 12noon nd 4pm. The aim of the event is to build a positive rapport between the community and police and to deter anti social behaviour.
Town Mayor, Councillor Mike Prew commented “It is great to see the momentum returning to the community life in the town and the council is pleased to offer support to those organisations that make this possible.”
